Ensuring excellent teachers for every child is central to the Department for Education’s (DfE) mission of helping everyone realize their potential. Among the initiatives aimed at getting teachers through the door and in classrooms is the Get Into Teaching Information Service (GITIS).

Through the combined effective delivery of contact center and advisory services, the GITIS is designed to:

  • Convert interest from potential applicants for the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) into actual applications
  • Encourage those looking to shift their careers into teaching, including those considering returning to the teaching profession

Since the candidate journey in the GITIS is paved with different starting points, different barriers and anxieties, and different aspirations, Teleperformance’s role in its partnership with the DfE is to aid every candidate’s journey, providing end-to-end support — from candidate consideration all the way through teacher onboarding and training.
