COTW Stories: WeCare at Teleperformance in Italy and Brazil!

For many years, Teleperformance, together with our employees, has created and shared many tales of generosity and care through our Citizen of the World (COTW) initiative. Powered by our goal to spread love and happiness in our local communities, bringing everyone together to help those in need gives us a great amount of joy--and every day, we are looking forward to make a difference in people’s lives. Here are more highlights of our COTW initiatives from around the world.

At Teleperformance in Italy, a food drive was organized in order to help less privileged families in local communities. Our team in Taranto created a “solidarity network” together with CARITAS and Taranto’s Municipality to ensure that the food collected were provided fairly to families who greatly need it. Our volunteers collected a full food package for 100 families, which included pasta, oil, flour, tomato sauce, sugar, and infant needs. The initiative in Italy was a success, with volunteers having described the act of giving and sharing as “thrilling.” “It was a great moment of solidarity and humanity. Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”

In other parts of the globe, Teleperformance in Brazil gave back to its local communities by sharing their knowledge. Learning is a key right, and our volunteers truly had a special experience after partnering with the local NGO PAC to conduct workshops for the youth (before the pandemic) in their local communities. The workshop’s subjects included social media, business, Excel, and accounting. For our volunteers at Teleperformance in Brazil, the workshop created an exchange of knowledge that gave them an uplifting experience. “Volunteering at PAC was a very special experience!” shared one volunteer. “Being able to share a little of my knowledge with a select group and bringing them a new perspective on social media and the impact they generate, was undoubtedly one of the most pleasurable challenges I have ever experienced.
