Last June 5, we were united with the world in observing World Environment Day. This 2023, World Environment Day encouraged everyone to be more mindful about plastic consumption and spread awareness on plastic pollution to remind everyone about its dangers, consequences, and effects to wildlife and to biodiversity.

Previously, our Citizen of the Planet (COTP) initiatives have contributed greatly to the benefit of the environment. With our strong focus on reducing carbon emissions, reducing waste and pollution, preserving biodiversity, protecting wildlife, and increasing reforestation efforts, we are together with our people in making a positive difference on our planet.

Fortified by our commitment to creating a better world for all, Teleperformance continues to take great steps in protecting the planet. And we are even more inspired to go the extra mile in taking care of the planet, each and every day.

Our very own Clementine Gauthier, Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, hosted an important LinkedIn Live and was joined by Louis Lagoutte, Regional Director of Fundraising for Europe at One Tree Planted. To kick off World Environment Day, Clementine and Louis discussed biodiversity, and the role of planting trees.

“Trees and forests are really important for our global biodiversity. Forests are home to most of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. It's where the richest concentrations of species can be found because they are really the most productive,” Louis explained. “Trees are the core building block for forests, which are one of the world's most important ecosystems. And so, when you take an ecosystem approach and you're looking at planting trees to restore that ecosystem, then that will benefit the biodiversity.”

Teleperformance’s partnership with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation, continues to make a tremendous impact on our goal to create a better, healthier, and greener planet for all. Through the partnership, we are able to contribute and strengthen global reforestation efforts.
